Playa de Palma is located in Mallorca (Spain). Mallorca is the largest island in the Balearic Islands archipelago located in the Mediterranean Sea. The capital of the island is Palma. History & Culture
The Phoenicians colonized the island around the 8th century BC and established numerous colonies. The capital of Mallorca, Palma, was founded as a Roman camp called Palmaria. It was later reconquered by the Byzantines, colonised by the Moors and finally established by James I of Aragon.
Today, there are multiple museums that you can visit and learn more about the island history.
